COSFEST VII

cosfest was fun.

considering the fact that i had a walking anime dictionary with me this year. which makes cosplayers clearer in a way.

was hoping to see transformers cosplayers since i saw iron man last year. but that kind of cosplay will stay as a dream because people in the right mind will not cosplay such highly difficult to cosplay characters.

by just imagining the time to make all the spare parts of the characters is enough to kill. not mentioning having to make it out.

wahaha.

next target - nyp cosplay event next wednesday at TFA. from 6pm to 9pm. and i hope that cameras are allowed. ~~because sjcc is weird~~

photos will be up soon. but its on facebook though. because blogger apparently loves no one but internet explorer which unfortunately isn't my favourite. and so uploading photos has become a mission impossible in firefox.

how saddening.

and this makes me want to switch over to other blogging websites. not that i anti-blogger. but i am anti-IE because of the risks it has as compared to google chrome and firefox. which is much more safer.

i must have gone mad due to boredom for blogging from school computer. but i am already so mad to go facebook while ms joyce is having lessons for this week's comm skills. must be because i need to present in front of class this month.

the wonders of pencil

my dad asked me why did i used a mechanical pencil to do all my drawings and assignments instead of the B and HB pencils like a normal artist.

good question.

but i don't know how to answer.

but according to my observations. i draw better in mechanical pencils rather than 2B/4B/6B/8B pencils. which is like a big taboo in my course cause all the teachers will be giving that look whereby their eyebrows will combine eventually.

i don't see the reason why mechanical pencils cant be used in drawings cause other than rendering difficulty (should be impossible) it still acts like a 2B pencil if the lead put in it is of a 2B type. plus i don't need to sharpen every now and then.

hoping for the day mechanical pencils are welcomed. ;D

e-learning week

e-learning isn't as fun as i thought it will turn out to be. since it sounds cool to have one whole polytechnic on e-learning.

doesn't own a scanner. doesn't have the adobe design premium CS4. doesn't have this doesn't have that but still need them to submit my works. SIDM shouldn't have e-learning afterall. its so troublesome that i feel like tearing my drawings.

and the most irritating thing is i received the same emails in my school email account and my gmail account. it is the teachers' side that cannot received the mails sent by me through the school email and not the other way round. so why send it twice?

two late submission work. and because of the design premium the computer isn't loading as fast as usual. after that trial period i am going to reduce the burden of the computer by uninstalling all of them.

was so proud of myself when i rendered a two-point perspective of one part of the campus in eight hours. although the overall grade for the whole module was still a C after i submitted my work today. i can feel my improvement for toning and rendering techniques.

super busy with all my works and i cant even sleep peacefully. sometimes i will just wait up at 7am automatically when school starts at 9am. and it only takes me at most 20mins to reach school.

but but but i'm here to share one silly animation i did for my assignment! notice that the tail seems to get thicker when it travels to the left and thinner at the right. but its only two frames which is thicker.

this makes me feel sad. but since once the file is submitted and i cant delete it. i might as well just forget about the two frames. but i wonder what grade mr. vanilla will give me. i cleaned my work just as he told me eh!

i have a bimbo-tic classmate. isn't that cool? now i get to see bimbo in action everyday. or even for the next three years down the road. provided that i am successfully promoted or sort.

wouldn't have give a damn about her but she kind of pissed me off during lecture today. cause we were called to sit at somewhere lower then i rushed down to the next row without realizing that there will be no seat for me.

one would have just gone down when there is no seat right? but that bimbo still has to say "HEY! MY THINGS ARE HERE!" loudly. quite a few heads turn you know. and its kind of like embarrassing to me.

maybe i am petty. but surely you do know what is the meaning of talking softly right? dumb bimbo.

but my angelic side decided to pardon her cause one of bimbo's personality is to be an attention seeker. plus she didn't do this for the first time. in class she always like to "WHAAAAAT?" or "WHYYYYYY?" damn loudly as if the one she is talking to is partially deaf or whatsoever.

plus she is freaky. pardon me for the word. horny as she loves to say "SAUSAGES" extremely loudly regardless of where she is at. i mean it may be funny for you cause its an inside joke. but hello? do you think that guys are as dumb as you to not realize that you were actually joking about their 'certain parts'?

just came back from school. and today school was supposed to end at eight at night. because of the presentation.

went to school because even though i decided to forfeit my right to present because my irresponsibility had caused me not to finish my work by the deadline given. i thought there were two modules going on. and i'll prefer to have a 100% attendance to prevent myself from receiving a warning letter for the first time in my life.

but when i was slowly walking to school. i realized that everyone was going to level five. and the presentation was at room m512. it then dawned to me that the presentation is now. which means that there is no animation fundamentals module classes going on today.

but i'm not sure about the comm skills. because if the notes say "all students are to be present for the whole presentation". and my class's presentation starts at four. which is right after the comm skills classes. is the comm skill classes is going on?

if i went. and there is no class. well its good. cause at least i made the effort to go check it out. and i wouldn't have to risk getting debarred from this module due to the drastic fall in attendance percentage. but if there is. my classmates will definitely ask where was i all this while.

or maybe they will not. i don't know.

i cant make up for lessons cause all classes have that module on friday. so i guess its like 14% gone for the day. i never thought that i'll have to worry about this debarment thing.

my module attendance rate for comm skills is 86%. which means i'll receive a warning letter and left 1% before i got debarred from this module. i.e i'll have to retain for half a year to complete my module.

or maybe i'll join group five next week for my comm skills. if i am allow to do so. and i hope i can. i really wanted a 100% attendance rate for this semester.

i shall not skip school anymore. i must aim to graduate by the expected date. but the debarment worries is my main concern now. i pray x1000 that i can make up for the lessons.

i'll have to face the music. i'm prepared to get the warning letter. this is a huge lesson learnt for me.

super in dilemma now. go or not?

snapped back to reality.

school is starting REAL soon. in nine days time after slacking for almost half a year right after the 'O' levels. and to be honest i feel kind of lethargic about school starting for me. but think about my poor friends in the junior collages eh.

and yes you are right to say that they will to be my motivation for the whole semester because they are much more pitiful rushing through the heaps of homeworks and losing sleep over something called the 'project work'.

anyway back to topic.

judging from my individual timetable. i think i can feel the pressure hiding behind that innocent looking thing. plus i think the name doesn't sound right because it is not my own timetable but a common one among my module groupmates.

so going to love monday cause school ends eleven but ends at around seven the next day with only a break of one hour and forty-five minutes or so. slave driving starting from year one?

and thursdays will suck because there are two breaks. with the addition of another forty minutes break. lunching with my mother every tuesday and thursday cause i don't think i'll click with them after that experience at macdonalds.

so.

any idea on how i'll spend my forty minutes break? i am thinking of just sticking around with them but i kind of worry of their reactions towards me like for example. calling me leechy tan or so.

SiDM orientation'o9!

its a long long summary of the orientation. so warning. continue at your own risk.

day one..}

for start. reached at eight thirty-ONE and did registration. was assigned to DA group three. my module group for the three years.

and so the introduction began. played 'whacked' to get to know our ~~class~~ module-mates better. and i misread two module-mates names because i didn't hear the 'n' and the 'k' in front of their names.

superb hearing. i know.

got called thrice in a row. and according to my sister. the reason was because my name was easy to remember. so this makes me wonder if should i laugh or cry for having such an easy-to-remember name.

the orientation group leaders (OGL) of my groups were angeline and addy. and addy looks like valerie in some ways. LOL!

anyway.

after that entered the auditorium where they showcased works of the graduates by diplomas. and the only thing i can comment is that "gosh. i guess i chose a challenging path for me to walk on". :/

and it was lunchtime! was super hungry but when the food was placed in front of us i felt full all of a sudden. the food was like ohmygosh and it was worse than what i had when i was camping in phs!

but still because i am a good girl i finished it all. and i'll like to point out that i'm only one of the FEW to finished it. ha! :DD

so after the horrible lunch was the tour around the school. and it was kind of boring to me because i toured nyp twice when i was in phs and so the things i see is the same. only with different groups of people.

and the last event was ~~lullabies~~ talks back in the auditorium. people around me were like already sleeping. so makes me wonder how am i going to survive the lectures when school starts.

after that was dismissed. ended at around five-thirty.

day two..}

reached nyp at eight SIXTEEN.

basically its games day so what we did was to just play and play. but before that there was a lecture by the course coordinators about some housekeeping matters. about materials needed and the timetable for the first day of school.

a sleepy day ahead that day.

after that was given our very first task as students of SiDM - draw a ten-panel comic using mr. man as the character. the starting and the ending panels must be the same background. so i simply crapped my way throughout the whole one and a half hour.

can you sense danger in front of me now? ;DD

after that was lunch and the standard of the food has NOT increase at all. the only difference was that the chicken meat was replaced by fish and its not nice even for someone like me who eats all kinds of fish.

and because of the disappointment i didn't finish the food. leaving behind some veggie and that's all. ;DD

lunchtime was finally over and went back to the atrium to discuss and practice for the performance item to be performed on stage on the last day. wasn't quite smoothly at first but after that we managed to produce a cheer.

later. its games time! had eight games in total but due to time constraints our group only managed to complete five. although we were told to bring dry clothes to change but i didn't managed to get wet because my group is too big as compared to the opponents.

plus it has lots of gentlemen who were willing to play the wet games so i was considered spared.

because i wasn't a sporty type and i can see that the scrollbar is getting small so i decided not to blog much about the games. but the last game 'guess the word' was funny. did stupid actions and those actions was passed down from the first to the last person on the row.

then there was debriefing and was dismissed at according to my phone. six forty-four.

day three..}

reached nyp at around eight but it was only until eight-thirty then they start the orientation. simply because some were late.

had a crapping session at the theater of the arts with the orientation group leaders and then it was another cheering sessions among the different groups. quite enjoyable because the other groups were funny and enthusiastic.

a good way to start the day i guess.(:

after that was dispersed to do our group presentation board. drew ourselves on a piece of paper with the size of 8"x 8". and i can only say that i got to pull up my socks now! let me tell you why.

it was lunchtime but because quite a few people (including me.) had enough of the food they decided to go macdonald's to have their lunch. ordered fillet o fish and sat down to listen to their talks.

and it turns out that many of my module-mates entered this course through DPSAE or DSAE. this means that they were interviewed by the course in-charge and therefore they definitely have the skills in them.

i feel so dead as there is this phrase that describes my situation:

she opened the can of worms to find a snake among them.

and for your information this phrase was used by mac taylor of CSI:NY in season three when he saw the BODY of a DEAD civil worker or what sitting by a car.

anyway.

went back to do our works completed our work. and so. presenting our final work. with the theme of "who am i? who are we?"

after that prepared our cheers and i can say i really had a lot of fun doing this. the class was really cooperative when there's a leader. (if not everyone will be stoning.) wahaha! :DD

so the very last event of the orientation was the presentation. but before that had a speech from the deputy don't know what of the school. pretty long and i almost went to visit mr. zhou. but i'm proud that i still made it in the end.

then two more talks on the SiDM club and the sketch club. the latter can help me improve my drawings thus i feel like joining. but i'm afraid that my drawings will upset the models and they refused to come and be the club's model again.

after that was the presentations of every group and then it was the prize presentation. but the highlights was the OGL's dance at the very end of the orientation.

and the whole thing ended at six fifty-two.

oh by the way do you know that my module group has twenty people consisting of eleven girls and nine guys? quite balanced i must say. as compared to the other groups which may have only two girls or two guys or so.

and i self-diagnosed my current illness as the "orientation jitters". an illness that only i will get while starting school.

the feeling is just like riding a bike after not touching it for many years. although i managed quite well when i first stepped into phs with no acquaintance at all. i don't feel as confident as before.

twenty one days since last post.

received the enrollment package after waiting for like 12983352 hours. but what awaits me are even more troubles.

1. application for interbank giro.
2. medical checkups.
3. declaration form.
4. tuition grant application.
5. online enrollment.
6. bank payments.

and i only did two of the six mentioned. and my dad isn't cooperating because it seems like i am cutting his flesh when i ask him to fill up the giro forms. its not that i'm hundred percent in nyp when the jae results are out. (they only recognize money anyway.)

oh i forget to mention. i still need to photocopy some documents to get my tertiary education ez-link card. adult fare sucks.

geeez.

btw. i finally found a job at popular bookfest this coming march. though its only for six days. and i need to sacrifice my birthday for the sake of money. its better than staying at home and earning nothing.

1. my sister made salty pineapple biscuits. but considering the fact that this is her first ever attempt at baking after almost six years. it is still acceptable when you try to persuade yourself that its the best goodie ever.

2. the hamster seems to be getting fatter and longer and cuter.

3. sixty-nine comic books and one official comic guidebook of d.gray-man resides in the corner of my cabinet.

4. kaichou wa maid-sama! is the best shoujo manga i've ever read.

5. i am going to have my reunion dinner this friday because i will be going to malaysia this sunday.

i've decided.

though i cant combine the results into one.

for the desired grade. and also to achieve a sense of accomplishment for being able to overcome something which i'm not good at.

i'm retaking 'O' levels e-maths this year as a private candidate.

my heart is racing.

and its getting faster each minute.

i don't think i'm ready to face the truth about my results.

whether i will be celebrating cny happily or depressingly this year will depend on the cert. not just the grades but the overall results.

i just wish that monday will come and go quickly.

received yet another newsletter from SP.

and this makes me wonder. before the results are released. these polytechnics kept on sending their newsletter stuff to the students. wanting them to choose the courses they offered. i.e. joining their school.

but when the results are out. and the results are far from what they thought the student will get. they shun the student. not wanting he/she to be in their schools by rejecting the appeals.

are they just giving false hope? or they just want the students to have even more pressure before they got their results? i do not know. but one thing i am absolutely sure about the purpose of all this.

i am having the fear and pressure now.

THREE things that make life difficult for me:

1. i am very much different from most girls.

2. my brain is always thinking differently. and that makes it difficult for me to start or even to continue a conversation with friends.

3. i am feeling extremely sick and tired of this kind of life.

seeing others happy with their friends always make me envy.

maybe its because i cant seem to maintain a friendship with friends for a very long time. simply because i don't think i'm a good friend. plus my brain doesn't work as the same as the other girls around me.

its boring to be my friend. i know.

new year. new life. i suppose my only new year resolution for 2oo9 is to make more friends by being able to approach.

watched twilight.

although the beginning of the movie is kind of confusing. which i'm very glad to have read the novel beforehand. i enjoyed the movie in the end. especially the exciting baseball game.

the sound effect is good too. and the suspense at the end of movie really makes me eager to watch new moon now.

good thing is that i did save up for my future. as though not a lot. is enough to get me the whole twilight saga series. so i'll get to finish the whole story and wait patiently for the other movies to be released.

but do let me forget those characters in the movie while reading. they are good but they don't seem to fit in very nicely. after all its a romance based on vampires. and i don't feel the vampire-ish mood in the movie.

confusing. i know.

its the only thing i bought this week using my own money. because being a jobless pauper. which is a double tragedy. i have been living on my parents since holidays started. and saving the money for 'emergency'.

and also not forgetting to help my sister to spend her money whenever we go out. i know she will definitely ~~not~~ appreciate my help.

so now i'm not only aiming to be a millionaire virtually. but also in reality.
